Szerzői jog sértések felkutatása és megbüntetése - Looking for copyright infringements and punishing them

Van néhány portál az Interneten, például a videa.hu, ahova a felhasználók szabadon feltölthetnek akár olyan teljes filmeket is, amelyeknek a szerzői jogaival nem rendelkeznek. Legalábbis úgy tűnik, hogy így van ez, abból ítélve, hogy szinte minden híres filmet megtalálhatunk ott, ha rákeresünk (pl. keressünk csak rá arra, hogy "Bud Spencer"). A portál gazdái pedig hagyják ezt, hiszen ez jót tesz a forgalmuknak - ezáltal akár úgy is hívhatjuk őket, hogy a "magyar Netflix". Miért rossz ez?

• A fiatalokat a filozófia és a siker helyett a fikció követésére ösztönzi, pedig a világ anélkül is van már elég érdekes, tele etikus kihívásokkal.
• A feltöltött filmek között olyanok is vannak, amelyek ronthatják az erkölcsöt (pl. erőszakot, szexualitást tartalmaznak), ezek tehát könnyebben elérhetőek.
• A filmnézés közben az emberek elektromos energiát fogyasztanak, és ezáltal károsítják a környezetünket. A filmekhez szükséges tárhelyhez felhasznált anyagok is károsak lehetnek a környezetünkre.
• Aki szerzői jogot sértő filmeket tölt fel, vagy akár csak néz, az később talán más törvényszegést is könnyebben elkövet majd.

Ezek alapján úgy gondolom, jobb lenne, ha büntetnék a szerzői jogot sértő filmek feltöltését és elérhetővé tételét. De úgy tűnik, hogy az említett portál csak abban az esetben foglalkozik a szerzői jogot sértő filmek eltávolításával, ha azt a szerzői jog tulajdonosának megbízásából kérik. Mit tehetünk tehát? Véleményem szerint két dolgot:

• a politikusok figyelmébe ajánljuk a témát, hátha jobb törvényekkel könnyebben lehetne büntetni az ilyen szerzői jog sértéseket
• olyan AI-t (mesterséges intelligenciát) fejlesztünk, ami összeköti a szerzői jog sértéseket a szerzői jogok tulajdonosaival (illetve az általuk kibocsátott megbízásokkal), és automatikusan elintézi a szerzői jogot sértő filmek eltávolítását

There are some portals on the Internet, like videa.hu, where the users can freely upload even such full movies, which they do not hold the copyright of. At least it seems to be so, based on the fact that we can find almost all famous movies there, if we search for them (e.g. let's search for "Bud Spencer"). The owners of the portal let it be so, as this does good to their traffic - thus we could even call them the "Hungarian Netflix". Why is this wrong?

• This urges the youth to follow fiction instead of philosophy and success, albeit the world is already interesting enough without it, full of ethical challenges.
• Among the uploaded movies there are such that may worsen morals (e.g. they include violence and sexuality), so these are easier to access.
• While watching movies, people consume electricity, and they harm our environment thereby. The materials in the storage space necessary for the movies may also be harmful to the environment.
• Whoever uploads, or even watches movies that infringe copyrights, may breach the law in other ways more easily later.

Based on these arguments, I think it would be better if the uploading and the making accessible of movies that infringe copyrights were punished. However, it seems that the mentioned portal cares for removing the movies that infringe copyrights only in case this is asked on behalf of the copyright owner. What can we do then? In my opinion, two things:

• suggest this topic to Politicians, maybe better laws could more easily punish such breaches of copyright
• develop such an AI (artifical intelligence) that connects the copyright infringements with the owners of copyright (and their mandates), and automatically arranges the removal of movies that infringe copyright.
