A túlnépesedés nagyon felerősíti a környezeti problémákat, és nagy veszélybe sodorja az embereket a 21. században. A migrációnak is ez az egyik oka. Ha viszont a túlnépesedés ellen kívánunk tenni valamit a saját országunkban, akkor az lehet, hogy nem esik bele az Overton-ablakba. Talán Kínában is ezért vetettek véget az egy gyermekes politikának. Nem is lenne igazságos, hogy a saját országunk népességét (és ezáltal hatalmát) csökkentsük, míg más országokét nem, ahonnan akár bevándorlók is érkezhetnének a mi országunkba. Mit tehetünk akkor? Hangsúlyoznunk kell, hogy a túlnépesedés problémájának megoldása nemzetközi ügy, és úgy kell előadnunk a megoldás tervezetét, hogy az elsősorban az idegen országok népességének korlátozására szolgál, hiszen minden országnak érdekében áll csökkenteni más országok népességét. Ilyen alapon létrejöhet akár a Föld népességének korlátozására nyitott országoknak egy szövetsége is, ami egy pénzügyi alapból támogathatná a népesség korlátozására szolgáló lépéseket globális szinten, valamint szankciókat vezethetne be azon országok ellen, amelyek nem lépnek be ebbe a szövetségbe. Azt, hogy konkrétan milyen lépéseket kellene megtenni, valószínűleg egy másik blogbejegyzésben írom le.
Overpopulation increases the environmental problems very much, and greatly endangers individuals in the 21st century. This is also one of the causes of migration. If, however, we wish to do something against overpopulation in our own country, then it may not fall into the Overton-window. It's possible that it is the reason why the one-child policy ended in China. It would not even be just to diminish the population (and thereby, the power) of our own country, while we do not do it to other countries, from where even immigrants could arrive into our country. What can we do then? We should emphasize that the solution to the problem of overpopulation is an international issue, and we should present the plan for solution in such a way, that it primarily aims to limit the populations of foreign countries, as it is the interest of every country to diminish the populations of other countries. On this basis, even an alliance could form with countries open to the limitation of the Earth's population, which could support the steps towards the limitation of population from a monetary fund on a global scale, and it could introduce sanctions against the countries that are not part of this alliance.
